GDP Pairs with SONIC for a Volunteer Event!

GDP recently worked with Jones Chapel United Methodist Church and their volunteer group, Serving Our Neighbors In Christ (SONIC). The SONIC group along with other volunteers, including GDP employees, successfully presented a “new” and improved mobile home that is wheelchair accessible to the Turner family in Danielsville, GA. We can’t even begin to explain the amount of pride we have in our company and employees that showed up to help make this seemingly impossible remodel happen. GDP provided labor and materials for the concrete pad and landing that led up to the family’s new wheelchair deck and ramp.

After long week of construction and renovations, the home was revealed to the Turner family on June 26, 2016. The Turner family is beyond grateful and happy for this gift that so many people worked hard to give them. The SONIC group was extremely appreciative of everyone there and the Preacher gave a devotional after all of the volunteers ate lunch together. He spoke about how helping the Turner family is one step towards changing the world. While we may not have tackled a cure for cancer or achieved world peace, we certainly did change a small part of the world, especially for the Turner family.

GDP Worked Through The Night!

Due to the heavy traffic surrounding the construction site, GDP worked around the clock for the weekend in order to minimize the impact for the community to complete this important project for the City of Dunwoody. We are proud to have been part of this successful project with a great client!

GDP Gives Back

On the day before Thanksgiving, GDP closed its offices and the entire staff and their families spent an afternoon with the women and children of The Community Welcome House in Newnan. Employees decorated cookies, made crafts, and engaged in various games with these community members who are seeking refuge from abusive situations.
