Georgia Tech chose GDP as their construction manager at risk to lead the development of a new transit hub that will service the central campus. In this role, GDP is working closely with the Institute, their engineers, and their architects to design, price, and value engineer the plans to arrive at a Guaranteed Maximum Price upon which GDP will general contract. The construction management process allows GDP to more effectively coordinate the project team’s methods of construction with challenging existing conditions, all while creating the least amount of interruption to a busy and critically functional area of the school. Once complete, the new hub will provide a logistically central facility for students, faculty, and staff to catch the busses, trolleys, and shuttles that service the campus and the surrounding neighborhoods.
