Etowah River Park
Georgia Development Partners won the opportunity to construct a new 81 acre multi-use park along the Etowah River for Cherokee County and the City of Canton. Over 41 acres of the site have been cleared and graded to feature three new soccer fields, two playgrounds, and an outdoor amphitheater that will include a 2,400 square foot covered stage. The soccer fields will be laser graded and irrigated. Over one mile of concrete paths varying in width between 6 and 10' will connect to an existing park across the river via a 180' span steel trussed bridge. Decorative lighting will accent the path system, and covered seating areas will provide visitors respite from the elements. Entry features include poured in place walls and a pavered round about. 500' of new roadway will lead visitors to a 203 parking space lot, restrooms, and concessions. Utilities include 2,300 lf of storm sewer with two Krystal Stream Water Quality Control Units and 200 lf of sanitary and water lines.
