Oxbow Meadows Environmental Park
The Columbus Water Works hired GDP to expand the recreational amenities and to improve the access to its 1,600 acre Oxbow Meadows Environmental Park on the Chattahoochee River. GDP constructed a 2,250 lf extension of a river walk pathway that required a series of bridge crossings. A new boat dock, fishing pier, and parking lot capable of handling boat trailers was added adjacent to a scenic lake. GDP installed a 34,900 sf grasspave parking lot along with a 9,800 sf concrete parking paver lot to accommodate additional visitors. A new decorative stone column and entry gate were also erected which give a new sense of welcome to this environmentally sensitive area.
